Combinatorial tuning of electronic structure and thermoelectric properties in Co<sub>2</sub>MnAl<sub>1−<i>x</i></sub>Si<sub><i>x</i></sub> Weyl semimetals

A tuning of Fermi level (E$_F$) near Weyl points is one the promising approaches to realize large anomalous Nernst effect (ANE). In this work, we introduce an efficient approach tune E$_F$ for Co$_2$MnAl semimetal through a layer-by-layer combinatorial deposition Co$_2$MnAl$_{1-x}$Si$_x$ (CMAS) thin film. single-crystalline composition-spread film with x varied from 0 1 was fabricated. The structural characterization reveals formation single-phase CMAS alloy throughout composition range gradual improvement L2$_1$ order similar co-sputtered single layered film, which validates present fabrication technique. Hard X-ray photoemission spectroscopy directly confirmed rigid band-like shift approximately 0.40 eV towards gradient direction = 1. Ettingshausen (AEE), reciprocal ANE, has been measured whole using strip along lock-in thermography similarity dependence observed AEE and ANE signals clearly demonstrates that measurement on spread effective investigate films highest performance without fabricating several films, will accelerate research ANE-based energy harvesting
